Removal and replacement Drum drive assembly hp laserjet p 4010 and 4015 series

Drum-drive assembly

1. Remove the following components:
• Top accessory cover.
• Formatter cover and cage.
• Top cover.
• Right-side cover.
• Fan FN103.
• Drum-motor assembly.
• DC controller PCA.
2. Remove one screw (callout 1) and the fan FN103 duct.

3. Release the wire-harnesses from the retainer on the fan FN102 duct (callout 2)

4. Remove three screws (callout 3).

5. Carefully remove the drum-drive assembly.

Reinstall the drum-drive assembly

When the drum-drive assembly is reinstalled, make sure that the spring is correctly positioned in the assembly.

Removal and replacement Right side cover Reinstall the right cover printer hp laserjet p 4010 and p 4015 series

1. Remove the following components:
• Top accessory cover.
• Formatter cover and formatter cage. See Formatter cover, formatter cage, and formatter PCA
on page 152.
• Top cover.
2. Release three tabs (callout 1).

3. Carefully separate the cover from the product near the control panel.

4. Rotate the top of the cover away from the product, and then and lift the cover up to remove it.

Reinstall the right cover

1.If you are installing a replacement cover, remove the engine-test button (callout 1) from the discarded cover and then install it on the replacement cover.

When the cover is installed, make sure that the switch-connecting rod (callout 2) snaps into the power-switch arm (callout 3).

1. Remove the following components:
• Top accessory cover.
• Duplex accessory cover and Tray 2 extension door. See Envelope feed accessory covers
• Formatter cover and formatter cage. See Formatter cover, formatter cage, and formatter PCA
• Top cover.
2. Gently pry the front-cover retainers off of the Tray 1 arms.

3. Release two tabs (callout 3), and then rotate the top of the cover away from the product and lift the cover up to remove it.

4. Rotate the top of the cover away from the product and lift the cover up to remove it.

1. Remove the following components:
• Top accessory cover.
• Formatter cover and formatter cage. See Formatter cover, formatter cage, and formatter PCA
• Top cover.
• Right-side cover.

2. Open the front cover.
3. Remove one screw (callout 1).

4. Gently pull the envelope-feeder connector cover (callout 2) off of the product to remove it.
